Through these we have developed a suite of products that benefit from both the latest technology and from TMS2’s first-hand knowledge of the transport and logistics industry.

System Specification
• Real time Transport Management System for an entire fleet, be it 10 or 5000 vehicles
• Fully managed via secure network hub with no need for internal IT resources

In the field
• Rugged telematics unit (black box) in each driver’s cab
• Option of a Hand-held computer for ePOD (proof of delivery)
• Option of a barcode scanner to scan consignments on and off of a vehicle

• Connected via GPRS data networks

In the central hub
• A centrally managed hub collects and collates the information from a fleet in real time and makes it available to all transport offices via a simple Internet connection
• Two-way communications between drivers and their offices to react to and control events as they unfold throughout the day
• Stores a record of all fleet activity over time

In the transport office
• An existing scheduling or planning system can be used to feed initial planned routes into the system
• A transport manager has all the information available to see the entire fleet, the work it has to perform, how the day is developing, and how well objectives are being met

Detailed, wide-ranging information is gathered from vehicles and their drivers’ mobile devices. This information is transmitted to, and stored in, the TMS2 network hub, from where it can be accessed using a standard web browser. Access via standard web-browsers improves flexibility and minimises infrastructure costs. Security and integrity is paramount and TMS2 has stringent policies and procedures to protect our hub and clients’ systems and data.
